Week 13 and counting

Welcome to our blog! As Project New Person continues to develop, we thought that blogging would be a good way to keep our family and close friends updated. Hopefully if you are reading this blog, you know that we are expecting a baby in September...if this is news to you then I am both a terrible family member and/or friend...so suprise! We are having a kid!

We have had two midwife visits so far. I've decided to see a midwife mostly because I like her so much and think she has a kind soul. Its important to me that our child be brought into this world by a kind soul...so Nurse Midwife Stone it is! She's a great lady who has prescribed me my miracle drug Zofran that allows me to eat and feel like a normal person again. Back to the visits...both were very good. We have seen the baby on ultrasound and have heard the heartbeat. Our last Midwife visit on Monday we got to hear the heartbeat and it was amazing...when we could hear it...the kid kept kicking the doppler, trying to get away from the midwife thus blocking out the sound of the heartbeat.... clearly it didn't want to be bothered...a stubborn little thing. 156 beats per minute though. Active and healthy.

We find out the sex of the baby on Friday April 8th...so place your bets!

PS - I should mention that this is a private blog. We are a little squimish about putting things about our growing family on Facebook so bloggers we have become.
